Discover decades of fine bootmaking Façon Designs has been making bespoke boots and shoes since over 10 years ago. Master bootmakers have carried on the tradition of unsurpassed skills and constant innovation from generations to generations, carrying bespoke into the modern era.
It is the relationship between the client and the Façon Designs artisans at every step which underpins the Bespoke service and makes clients’ dreams a reality.
Ensure the perfect fit is the first step in the making process. At the first of several appointments, the Master Last Maker measures the client’s foot in detail. Using these precise measurements, the contours of the foot are modeled by hand in hornbeam wood, creating the last upon which a pair of bespoke boots or shoes is molded in leather.
We create a trial shoe so that the client can get an impression of how the shoe will look and revise any aesthetic preferences, such as the height of the heel and shape of the toe.
After wearing the trial shoe, final measurements are taken, and incisions are made by the Master Last-maker in order to make sure no pressure points are felt on the foot. An artisan can further refine the precision of the clients’ last with this method.
The artisans of the Bespoke atelier start the metamorphic process of producing refined objects out of naturally sourced materials with every detail in mind.
After measuring the finished last, a pattern is created according to the style specified by the client. Once the artisan has perfected the shape, he or she cuts out the upper from the selected leather.

We handcraft each pair of shoe trees individually, ensuring that they retain their shape and structure over the years.
Each Bespoke creation celebrates the intrinsic relationship between the material, the tools, and the maker’s mastery of the art.

As the history of Façon Designs is preserved in the Bespoke archives, the atelier is able to trace its history from its iconic designs of the past to today’s contemporary designs.
A bespoke creation is expertly finished with nourishing cream and wax to create its desired patina.
Once completed, they are presented in a box bearing the Façon Designs Bespoke signature mark, the culmination of generations of transmitted gestures and techniques and a celebration of the artisans’ commitment to their craft.
